Bargain heels

Hey everyone, Michelle here!

If you have been following our blog for a while, you will know that I am a Zara obsessive. Ever since I have been back at university I pass by Zara everyday on my way home so I have been going in nearly every day (yes, I am aware that this is not very healthy for my bank account but I cant help it).

I was in the other day and I came across these gorgeous burgundy heels, here is a link to a previous post on my obsession with burgundy. I was already considering buying these as I loved them so much but when I looked at the price tag, my mind was made up. They were only £15.99! I couldn't believe it. They also come in black with a gold strap and a red heel which I really loved which I was going to buy as well as the burgundy ones since they were such a good price but they never had my size :(.

Outfit of The Evening: Red Carpet Style

Hi Everyone

I attended a red carpet event on Friday night.  The dress code was red carpet, when I found this out I did panic.  Sounds silly but my question was how red carpet?  After much looking for the perfect dress I finally found one on ASOS.  I decided to play it safe with a ling black dress with back detailing.

Sorry for the quality of the pictures, I was running late so did not get the chance to do outfit pictures till I got home.

This is the front of the dress (face wasn't looking too hot by the end of the night so thought it would be better to cut it out!).  I really played it safe when looking at this. Rather boring...

The back of the dress was a bit less boring, this is what sold the dress to me.  I don't usually go for low backed dressed but I really loved this one.  As the back of the dress is very detailed, I decided to go for less is more with jewellry.

Sorry the pictures are terrible.  I did have a great night though and to make it better I won something in the raffle (I have never won anything in a raffle before), so exciting.

A night away in Troon is now on the cards for the near future!  Of course I will blog about that when I go.

Appointedd - Prelaunch Invitation

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to do a post about a new and exiting start up company based in Scotland called Appointedd.

Appointedd is a new way to book your salon appointments online but will have an exciting social aspect to it. You can look for salons in your area, read reviews online, browse deals that salons are offering and allows you to book 24/7. It's great for those of you who have very little time on your hands to make that all important salon appointment.

This is not like any other website out there, customers are able to look for inspiration through the image library and can share images, information and reviews through their social media.

They also have a great blog full of beauty, hair and spa related features, check it out here.
Appointedd will be launched first in Scotland so make sure you are one of the first to sign up here!

Trend for Vintage...

Hello Blogger Followers,

Gone are the days of "Out with the old, in with the new".  Vintage is a trend that is imminent at the moment and it is something I love!  My recent purchased a beautiful photo frame for my bed room to display some of the most important people in my life.  At the minute it is empty but it is just as nice like this.  It is a unique bargain from TKMaxx and this is why I love it... because it is a one of a kind (however you will find some similar frames that are just as good as this one).

At the weekend, I visited my Granny before she and my Granda went on a beautiful cruise.  She very kindly gave me her pearl necklace and earrings that she has had for a while and I love them.  If you don't know already pearls are my favourite and these are not only stunning but they have personal value to me aswell.  This is something I will keep forever and mean a great deal to me as it is from someone special.  Plus, they are so vintage!

Let us know what you think about the vintage trend and how you are embracing it.

Happy reading

Bonkers for Burgundy

Hey everyone, hope you all have some exiting plans for this weekend :)

We are all loving this seasons burgundy trend, but for me burgundy has and probably always will be my favourite colour. So as you can imagine I have been loving that this colour has been all over the high street, even though I definitely do not need to buy anything else in this colour.

Here are just a few of my favourite burgundy coloured items.

Scarf - H&M, Vans, Converse

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable - 005 Crush
Avon Nailwear Pro - Tweed
New Look patterned socks - 3 for £4

I am in love with these converse. I bought them last week from Schuh as I really wanted a pair of hightops for autumn . Of course the ones that I liked the most happened to be burgundy.

Skirt - H&M
Jumper - Primark

This jacket is from last years Zara winter collection. I love this jacket but as it has duck feather in it, I can only wear it when it is really cold or if its snowing. Any other time it is too warm to wear.

No doubt by the time this season is over I will have added to my collection.
Is there any colours that you are obsessed with?

Thanks for reading!

Autumn Knitwear

Hey guys,

Autumn is one of my favourite times of year in Scotland, that's when and if the rain stays away. I love the Autumn colours and I get quite exited about the fact that its time to purchase some new knitwear, ankle high boots and new coats.

I have already bought a few pieces of knitwear that I think are perfect for this season and will go with the majority of my wardrobe due to the neutral colours.

Here are a couple of jumpers that I have been wearing quite a lot. The cream one is from Zara and is a lovely thick material. I love that it looks back to front with the button design at the back. The brown speckled one is actually from the children's section in New Look. If you have never had a look at the childrenwear section then I recommend that you do. The sizes go up to an age 14-15 which are quite big made and the shoes go to a size six which is quite odd for children's shoes. I bought the brown jumper in an age 14-15 ( I am normally a size 10)  and think that the smaller size would have fitted better, so this gives you a rough idea about what the sizes are like.

I have bought a pair of heeled ankle boots, which you can see here. I do want a pair of flat ankle boots and I have also had my eye on a couple of pair of high top converse which I think will be really handy for autumn so I will keep you updated on which ones I buy.

I still have not found a nice jacket yet which will be be nice for autumn but will also do me for the start of winter before the icy weather comes . I am thinking of a nice thick tan duffel coat if I can find one. If any of you have seen a nice one then please leave me the link below.

I will have a few more Autumn purchase posts coming very soon so stay tuned :)

Out with the old in with the NEW!!

So recently I decided to finally dye my hair dark brown which a couple of blonde highlights through out it. I kept looking a photo's since I was 17 and my hair has been the same so decided that I needed a change.

Last Tuesday I finally braved it and dyed it and I LOVE it!! I just wanted to add that I had never dyed the top of hair that is my natural colour and I get blonde highlights underneath to give it some warmth. So this was a very scary process for me but work out amazingly.

I do apologise for the first photo that quality is not that great it was taken on my phone.

I am still getting adjusted to it but it might just be a little change for winter and who knows I might go back to blonde/brown in the summer.

If anyone is thinking about changing their look then go for it you only live once so you better make the most of it.

Michelle: Where do we start... Michelle had a bit of a disaster with her outfit.  First of all she found a rip in her dress, thankfully Dodi had a sowing kit in her flat so we could fix that.  Then on the way to the party she burst her favourite pair of shoes... RIP little black shoes.  Thankfully Mhairi had a spare pair of heels with her that had been abandoned in Dodi's flat for the past year.  So Michelle ended up wearing...
