Its good to recycle...!

Hello fashionistas,

There has been a few celebrities following the trend of recycling outfits that have been worn previously.  I thought I would join in on this trend as I went to a friends wedding in Glasgow and the outfit I purchased contained some quite expensive pieces including my dress from Coast and shoes from Kurt Geiger.  The picture below is of my lovely boyfriend and me at the wedding and the beautiful gardens that surrounded the venue.

The second time I wore the outfit I teamed it with a white blazer.  I was lucky enough to be invited to the Queens Garden Party in Edinburgh with my mum.  This photo is taken beside the Scottish Parliament and the beautiful scenery in the background.

The way I feel about recylcing an outfit is that if its good enough for the future Queen (Kate Middleton) then its good enough for the rest of us.  Plus you can save money for some summer sun!

Happy Shopping!

Love Nicola x

Newcastle Haul!

Hey everyone! I'm just in the door after a night away in Newcastle with my boyfriend and I wanted to do a quick post to show you the bargains I found while at the metro centre. First of all i'd like to say ... my god the metro centre is HUGE!!  I had been before a few years ago but did not remember it being so big! I was in heaven. :)  Anyway this trip was a bit of a random decision on Saturday morning after having had a bit of a disappointing week off work which instead of being my week long birthday celebration ended up being a week long car search, its a long story which I will not bore you all with. However after finding a car on Friday we decided to treat ourselves to a road trip to Newcastle. I had never realised how close it actually is to Glasgow. Its only about 2 and a half hours drive to the metro centre. Anyway, less of the rambling, ill get to the good stuff.

I was on a bit of a budget as I am trying to desperately save for a holiday so everything I got was an absolute must have bargain! First up I was straight into the Zara sale and I found this t-shirt which I love. I have a slight obsession with studs at the moment and  im sure im not the only one. (sorry about the picture quality I just took the pictures quickly on my phone.)

Zara sale £7.99

Next purchases were from the mango outlet. The prospect of a mango outlet was too exciting as we don't have anything like that in boring old Glasgow. I am so happy with this purchase! I have been looking for a jumper like this for a long time and I finally found one in my budget and comfortably within it at that.

Mango outlet £7.99!!

I bought this dress after we had decided that we were definitely staying in Newcastle for the night as I didn't like the outfit I had packed that morning. I love this dress and I had been looking for a wrap dress for a while and this one is such a Dodi dress for those of you who know my love for all things animal print. I don't know if you can tell in the picture but its like a brown and grey snake print. Oh excuse the ugly ugly background but there was no nice background for a picture in this awful hotel room, note - do not stay in the Carlton hotel in Jesmond if ever visiting, worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The shower was barely strong enough to rinse off the shower gel and the room was warmer than being in a hotel in Spain. That street however was really nice and there were lots of nice bars and restaurants with cheap cocktails!

Mango outlet £9.99!

The last thing I picked up was from boots as I had a universal gift voucher that could be used there and I had been after these for a long long time.

I finally own the real techniques core collection brushes! I don't know what's taken me so long as I actually think they are really good value for money. Boots £21.99

Thats all guys, hope you have all had lovely weekends!

Obsessed with... Soap and Glory

Today's Obsessed with... post is on Soap and Glory hand and feet products. I absolutely love how moisturising these products are especially the foot lotion. I cant sit at piece for two minutes so when I put the foot moisturiser on I love the fact that I can put the Soap and Glory socks on and then go about my business. You can buy both these products from Boots for around £5, not sure if you can buy the socks and gloves as I got them in a gift set.

Jewellery obsession

Good morning everyone, recently I have been having an obsession with buying jewellery. I have never been one of those girls that has a jewellery box full of different necklaces, bracelets etc. I tend to be the sort of person that buys a piece of jewellery and then will wear it once and it goes missing, so for this reason I tend not to buy jewellery until very recently. For some reason every shop I go into there seems to be another piece of jewellery that I just have to buy. Luckily the majority of these items are on sale. So here are some of my favourite pieces that I have bought recently.

Hamsa Hand Necklace - £2.50 (sale price) Miss Selfridge

Skull necklace - £2.00 (sale price) Miss Selfridge

Gold ball necklace - 6 euros from Italian market

Daisy bracelet - £1.70 (sale price) Accessories, earrings to match came with it also

Evil Eye Bracelet - £4 Accessories. I am in love with this bracelet. I have been wanting one for ages but I couldn't find one that looked as pretty or as delicate as this one, couldn't believe that it was only £4 :).

This week I attended a wedding, this was the first wedding I had been to since I was about 10 so I was very excited.  I had spent a lot of time planning what to wear. In my previous post I showed you the dress I was going to wear from Zara but I still had not found anything to wear with it. I left everything rather last minute when looking for the accessories as I was still looking for a bag 2 days before the wedding. Anyway here are some pictures to show you from the day.

Dress: Zara
Shoes: Dorothy Perkins
Pashmina: New Look
Bag: Mango
Fascinator: Claires accessories
Earrings: Newlook

Look of the evening #8

Hey guys, I was at my friends 21st the other night and I wanted to show you all what I wore. I mentioned this dress in my payday purchases post. The dress is from Zara and was an absolute bargain at only £12.99 (I'm not sure how much it was originally). I really love the colour and the lace is so flattering. I decided that I didn't want to add much more colour to this dress as I didn't think it needed it so I wore nude shoes from Primark (last years), a cream river Island clutch, earrings from Topshop and I wore peach nail varnish (not in photos as I hadn't painted them yet).

I also want to show you my friend Rachel's dress from French Connection which I am in love with. I apologise for the quality of this photo and the fact that it was taken in the bathroom :). She paired this dress with a pair of boots from topshop.
