Chelsea boots/wellies

Hey everyone!

Since the weather is now getting horrible, I decided that I needed a new pair of wellies since my Ted Baker ones decided to burst when I was camping earlier on this year. I was in Office when I came across these little numbers. I have been wanting a pair of chelsea boots for a while but never found a pair that I really liked or that wouldn't get ruined in all the rain that we get here in Glasgow. I thought these were really cute and are actually quite comfy and not too heavy as they are a soft plastic material. They look really cute with jeans and I had them on with a dress the other day which also looked really sweet. They also have them in a glittery silver colour but I thought the black ones would be much more practical.

Body Shop Cleansing Brush

Hi Everyone

A few weeks ago I bought a Cleansing Brush from the Body Shop.  Like pretty much everyone I know I would love the Clarisonic but just can't justify the price.  So, for now, the £4 cleansing brush will need to do.
Bodyshop Cleansing brush
I wanted to wait till I had been using it for a few weeks before I blogged about it because I always feel it is really difficult to judge something when I have only been using it a few days.  At first I thought the bristles felt a bit rough on my skin but I have either got used to it or they have softened.  Think it might be a bit of both.

Since I have started using this brush my skin seems much smoother.  I have enlarged pores, especially on my nose.  Using this brush once a days seems to be reducing this, can't complain really.  I have also noticed a reduction in blackheads and my skin is looking more radiant.  The only pain is that a Clarisonic would be more convenient as it does most of the moving for you...so lazy!  I would definitely recommend this to everyone who wants to improve their skin.

OOTD - preppy

Hey everyone!

Just thought I would do a quick outfit of the day post. I really love the preppy look and wanted to do a post to show you all my new H&M blazer. It is a grey tweed style blazer and I really love the fit of it. It is surprisingly warm and I am still able to wear it at this time of year if I wear a jumper or cardigan underneath it. I am wearing a burgundy shirt from Primark underneath a cream jumper from Topshop which is really soft. My bag is from H&M, I have had this bag for a really long time and its a great size. Unfortunately my bag burst last night which I am quite sad about, but its a good excuse to go shopping for another :).

TOMS...Giving to the World

Hello blog followers,

Sorry I haven't blogged in a while but I have been snowed under with university work.  While getting on with research I came across a company that interested me called TOMS.  I instantly fell in love with their concept when I found out about it... One for One.

The company put their heart and soul into selling shoes and glasses to consumers while every purchase made, someone in the developing world will receive a pair of shoes or their sight back.  They believe that every person in the world deserves to have shoes to walk and the ability to see.

This is an example of a company who wants to make a difference in the world and make it a fairer place to live.  This is a website that is worth visiting and definitely a purchase that is worth making (and I already have)! TOMS

Let me know what you think about the company and its concept... to me its one of the greatest ideas in a long time.

Zara Parka

Hey everyone!

I am finally taking a day off of uni today to get a couple of blog posts on the go. Any of you who are currently or have previously been in 4th year of uni, then you will understand the workload we have at the moment and we all apologise for the lack of posts.

Anyway, back top the topic of this post. I have a new winter coat! It has taken me a while but I finally found the one I was looking for. I found this extremely cosy and gorgeous parka in Zara. It was £100 but definitely worth it as it will do me all winter and here in Glasgow it gets really cold. Some of the We do Fashion UK girls (Michelle, Mhairi and Dodi) are also going to Milan with the uni in January so this will be great for there.

I love the leather panels on the shoulders and sleeves and I think that the inside of it is so pretty with the peach coloured ribbons and the faux fur. I think I will be very happy this winter!

They also have this parka in navy which just came intop stores yesterday which is also gorgeous.

I really love the length of this as it means that I can wear lots of layers which is great for this time of year.

Shirt - H&M
Jeans - New look
Cardigan - H&M (this season - £29.99)
Jacket - Zara

Nightwalk Fashion Show

Hi Everyone

A few nights ago I went to a fashion show called Nightwalk in Glasgow.  It showcases many up and coming designers, the show included; Afraid, Animinimal, Betsabelle, Betty Spoke, Brian Chan, Carousel, Crikey Aphrodite, Dawntroversial, Fair Feathered Friend, Jennie Loof, Mochmess, NLM Design, Nothing and Popular.  Not going to lie, some of the stuff was a bit on the strange side, but what can you expect from up-and-coming designers.

Some pictures from the night...

Love these jeans

These are probably the tamest of the outfits.  I actually really like the bottom picture with the lace under the top.

On another note, look what I bought...
Masquerade ball
My Christmas night out in work is a masquerade ball.  The mask is from H&M, now to find a dress.

Jolie Box -October

Hey everyone!

My first ever Jolie Box arrived last week, I was just in time to get the October box so that is why this post is late. I have wanted to subscribe for Jolie Box for a while and I finally done it, woohoo! I got very exited when it arrived and I loved the packaging it comes in, so pretty. I love the whole idea of Jolie box which has now joined forces with Birchbox and I got some very exiting things in last months box.

Ritessens Velvet Cleansing Milk - I love this product, it feels and smells very luxurious and leaves your skin feeling really soft.

Wen Sweet Almond and Milk cleansing conditioner - I used this product last week just before I got my hair done as the ends of my hair where really dry and I badly needed a hair cut. I really like this product, my hair felt really soft and improved the look of the ends of my hair.

Lov organic tea - I have always been a big fan of flavoured tea so i was extremely exited to try this. I loved it! I was on the website the other day and I think that I will be buying some more very soon. check out the Lov website the tins are super cute!

Iroisie tinted BB cream - I have not tried this product yet but I am really looking forward to it as i love trying out new products.

Jason Aloe and Beeswax lipbalm - This is a great product for this time of year, it moisturises your lips really well and tastes pretty good as well.

Moa - The Green Balm - This is one of those products that are great for having in your handbag. I have only used it on my lips so far and it is really moisturising but it can also be used for dry skin, burns and rashes etc.

Nail Girls - I received the colour Shimmering Pale Gold Foil. I really love the colour especially for this season and the nail varnish itself is great, I only need one coat and it drys super quick so its great if your in a rush.

Twistband - I love these bobbles i seen them a while ago on one of my favourite blogs, Cupcakes and Cashmere. I need to wear my hair up for work so this bobble is great as it leaves no kinks in your hair. I will definitely be buying these in other colours from the joliebox shop.

I was very happy to find that one of our favourite bloggers, Fleur from Fleurdeforce was on the cover of last months magazine!
