Perth- Australia

Last year my parents emigrated to Australia, Perth to be precise.  This has became a frequent holiday destination for me.  I am just back from spending a month there and have visited 2 other times.  Personally I love it and thought I would write a post about it to show why.

This is Cotteslow beach, it is near the centre of Perth.  The beach is divided by the rocks that you can see in the picture.  The side that can be seen in the picture is popular with families as the ocean is very calm here.  The other side is rougher and is popular with surfers.
This is my parents local beach, Mullaloo beach.  The beach is huge and always busy.  There is the added bonus that there is a large reef making it more difficult for sharks to come close to the shore, it still happens occasionally though.

This is the city by night, the picture was taken from a boat on the Swan River.  As a city it is quite small but has everything it needs to have.  Shopping is not great however, all the shopping malls have the same few shops with the same stock.  If you are going here and want to see something a bit different I would advise going to Leaderville as there are smaller boutiques with different clothes.  Although in saying this I do tend to buy quite a lot of clothes when in Australia as I get bored of having the same things as everyone else and I hate buying things then walking down the street and seeing another 5 people wearing it.
I thought I would add this picture in as it has a pretty background and I was embracing Aussie style.  Everyone wears denim shorts, constantly.  In winter people will wear them with a jumper and in summer they will wear them with a bikini or loose fitting top (it gets too hot to have anything touching your skin).

Shorts:  River Island
Top: H&M
Bag: Ted Baker
Sandals: Primark

This is an old picture from over a year ago so I doubt and of the clothes will still be for sale.

This girl loves camping

Hey everyone, so this post is about a recent camping trip I went on with my family. This same time last year we went to a place called Brighouse Bay near Kirkcudbright (this is in Scotland for any of you who don't know where this is) and we had an amazing time so we all decided we would try to do it every year and this year was just as good :). I have been camping all my life and although this may not appeal to some people, I personally love it. So here are some photos of my trip.

This year me and my boyfriend decided that we had to upgrade to a bigger tent as last year we only had a two man tent which was an absolute nightmare to get dressed in. So here was our wee home for the weekend which I miss already :(. Our tent even had a tartan rug.

Here are some pictures of Brighouse Bay which is right next to the beach and has some lovely little nature walks.

We took my eight month old puppy Glen with us and it was his first time in the sea. He loves water so when he seen this much water he went crazy and we didn't think we would get him out. Luca decided to brave the cold water and also went in to play with Glen.

One of my favourite things about Brighouse Bay is the horses. These two were very friendly and I absolutely love the white one which I think looks like a unicorn, so beautiful. Even though this is more of a lifestyle post I will still tell you where I got my clothes from. Jumper is from H&M and Bodywarmer is from Zara but is from last year.

The thing that make me love camping so much is the night time as everyone has a good time and tries to keep warm around the fire. I also love how pretty everything looks especially when you light candles as pretty as these. In the picture below I am wearing my Zara leather jacket, scarf is from Spanish market and hat is from H&M.

So I hope you enjoyed this post and the pictures. I am off to Italy soon so I will be posting about what I am taking with me and my holiday essentials soon.

Singapore

Sorry I haven't posted in so long, after getting back to Australia it became clear that I had also caught the mumps.  This caused me to be in bed for a week then I spent my last week catching up on everything that I had planned to do when I was ill, p.s an Australia post will be up soon.

I have to confess that I spent most of my time on Sentosa (holiday resort island) but did venture into Singapore to shop.

Hard Rock Hotel, Sentosa.  This pool/fake beach is the reason I did not venture to Singapore many times.
I did manage to visit the beach on Sentosa however.  I am aware that there are no outfit posts here, it is ridiculously humid here so the looser the clothes the better.  I lived with my hair in a donut this whole holiday to keep my hair off my back as it was so clammy.
I can't not mention my main purchases.  I got a bit over excited when I saw Sephore and 100 dollars later this is what I had (minus the make-up bag).  The products are Taupe Model No. 06 Palette, Choco Excess No. 19 eyeshadow, Touche Limiere Lissante (concealer) and Professional Smudging Brush.
The make-up bag is from Victoria's Secret, which is full of beauty products, bags and purses.  Do not expect to buy underwear here.

Many of the shops in Singapore are UK high street stores which charge much more than they do in the UK, Forever 21 does have a shop at normal prices.  If you visit it is worth going to Orchard Road to look at the designer stores and if you are staying in Sentosa, a visit to the Galleria is worthwhile as it is small but I have never seen so much luxury in the one place.

holiday shopping

Good morning everyone,

Im off to sunny Italy in a few weeks time and I have only just started getting organised. So here are some of my most recent purchases and how I intend to wear them while I'm on holiday. It is actually very sunny in Glasgow today and will be for the next week which is a welcome change to our normal miserable weather so I might wear this first outfit today :) (if I do I will post a picture) . I love these white high waisted shorts from Love Label at Very, they are really nice on and could easily be dressed up or down. I have paired them with a pale blue and white patterned river island top, my favourite Zara belt and my £3 bargain flip flops from Primark.

My second outfit is really casual, these bright blue shorts are also from Love Label at Very. When I first opened the package I got a bit of a shock at how bright these shorts are as I don't normally go for really bright colours but I talked myself into keeping them and intend to wear very neutral colours with them so they are not overpowering on me. My top is one of my favourites from H&M and is quite old but I'm sure that they still stock this top as it is in their basics range. Flip flops are from Very and belt is from primark.

This bikini is from TU at Sainsburys (where I work) it is very rare that I will find something that I really like from TU as it does not appeal to our age group but I thought that this bikini was lovely and looks very 70s. I also think it will look great with a tan :).

I will post any more holiday clothing that I get in the next few weeks :)
